With over 10 years experience as a self employed personal trainer, 8 of which in London I have developed a fairly wide base of knowledge. This wide spectrum of knowledge across different genres of training makes me perfectly suited to specialise in G.P.P (general physical preparedness) or in other words making people fit across the board. In the words of Crossfit “I specialise in not specialising” and can help get you very capable in every aspect of your physical fitness!

I can also sometimes be found playing the guitar or in local bars making up gym based dance routines.

      Most Embarrassing Moment:

Probably when I was a personal trainer in Gym box Westfield London, hanging from gymnastic rings in a training session when another trainer thought it would be entertaining to pulldown my shorts so I was on full show to a very busy central London gym……I was not entertained!

      Training Specialties:

As a result of extensive experience as a Personal Trainer, I have learnt how to customise each training programme to suit the individual’s specific needs, whatever their goals. With the experience of my own sporting activities and successes, I have developed a particular interest in the way in which CrossFit can be applied to aid and significantly improve peoples’ performance across endurance sports.

    • icon
Biggest challenge over the next 12 months:

My biggest challenge is also my most exciting – to show how gym based training undeniably helps improve every aspect of movement. Whether the goal is to run faster, lift heavier, lose weight or simply enjoy exercise more, applied CrossFit training methods will get results.

    • icon
      Favorite Food:

Peanut Butter on pretty much anything…

    • icon
      Biggest Weakness:

That’s got to be my addiction to Peanut Butter too! People just don’t understand the trials and tribulations of a guy that can’t just stick a spoon in the jar once…!

    • icon
      Hobbies:

Before my introduction to CrossFit in recent years, I sailed competitively at World and European level for a number of years. When back on dry land, you’ll often find me out trail running, cycling, or having a beer socialising with friends.

    • icon
      Most Embarrassing Moment:

Definitely when sailing at a European event in Croatia. First race of the day and I managed to split the crotch of my wetsuit completely open. Safe to say it was a bit “airy” for the rest of the races, with a few funny looks on returning to shore. A bad day to choose to go Commando…!

      Hobbies

I love going to the beach. I lived in Florida for a year and went most weekends. I also like going to Cornwall for the weekend. Quiet life over city life.

I obviously love training as well and I thank my lucky stars that Martin chose to return to Exeter and ended up becoming my PT, as I never did any sport or exercise until my late twenties and I’ve never felt better.

    • icon
      Most Embarrassing Moment

I once very loudly let some air slip out whilst doing toes to bar with Martin during a PT. He either didn’t hear it, or was a complete gentleman and pretended not to but it’s never been spoken about!
